Things to see and do in Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai Province, Northern Thailand

Well, Mon and I are of course a little bit biased and feel that you must check out our restaurant and great food and drinks, while visiting Chiang Dao ;-)  It's called Mon and Kurt's restaurant and is located 2.5 km past the downtown Chiang Dao 7-11 on the road to Fang, if you are coming from Chiang Mai.  (about 75 km from Chiang Mai)

The Elephant Training Center Chiang Dao

Open 8am daily. 

Show times:  9am - 10am and 10am - 11am: 

Elephants take a bath, logging, dancing, painting (using their trunk), etc.

Tickets:

Entry:  Adults 60 Baht.  Children 30 Baht

Elephant riding:  1/2 hour 800 Baht and 1 hour 1200 Baht (Trip into the jungle on elephant back). 

                        1 1/2 hours 1400 Baht, includes elephant trip to Lisu village. 

River Rafting:  2 people = 1000 Baht, 3 people = 1200 Baht, 4 people and up 1200 Baht (Approximately one hour of rafting, shorter during rainy season)
